据英国能源部(Department forBusiness, Energy and Industrial Strategy)发布的统计数据， 2018年英国煤炭消费1182.9万吨，同比减少16.6%；煤炭产量258.0万吨，同比减少15.2%；煤炭进口981.9万吨，同比增长15.6%。
2019年1-3月份英国煤炭消费248.6万吨，同比下降47.3%；煤炭产量58.4万吨，同比减少10.1%；煤炭进口261.9万吨，同比下降17.4%。
